The claims behind it
An AAV expressing ChR2-EYFP was injected into the BLA, and EYFP-labelled BLA axon terminals were imaged in the PrL cortex.

Injection of AAV-ArchT-GFP into the BLA produced GFP-labelled axon terminals in the prelimbic prefrontal cortex, demonstrating an anterogradely labelled BLA projection to the PL.

BLpc BDA injection gave weak terminal labeling in prelimbic-infralimbic cortex.

After BDA was injected into the BLA of juvenile and adolescent rats, labelled BLA axons were found in prelimbic cortex layers 2 and 5. Stereology gave total terminal length, and this was elevated by early-life adversity at PD28 and PD48 in females and at PD38 in males.
