BLA (basal amygdaloid nucleus) UBERON:0002887 projects to CTX (Cerebral cortex) UBERON:0000956 · Rat

BDA injected into the basolateral amygdala produced labelled fibres in the prefrontal cortex, and BDA-positive PFC synaptosomes were found, some of them co-labelled for CRFR2 (about 11.6% of synaptosomes from BDA-injected rats, n = 3).

BLA (basal amygdaloid nucleus) UBERON:0002887 functionally connects to CTX (Cerebral cortex) UBERON:0000956 · Rat

In anesthetized rats, electrical pulses delivered to the BLA evoked local field potentials in the medial PFC. High-frequency BLA stimulation produced lasting potentiation of these responses, which was further enhanced by intra-PFC infusion of the CRFR2 antagonist antisauvagine-30 but not by the CRFR1 antagonist.
