Rat central amygdala corticotropin-releasing hormone-expressing neurons projects to CP (Caudoputamen)

- Rat

- present
- Method
- retrograde tracer
- Sign
- unknown
- Evidence
- After infusing a retrograde Cre-dependent AAV expressing GFP into the dorsal striatum of CRF-Cre;tdTomato rats, GFP-labelled cells overlapping with tdTomato (CRF+) were found in the central amygdala, showing that CeA CRF neurons send axons to the dorsal striatum; the proportion and density of such projecting CRF neurons was lower in CeA than in BNST (9 sections from 5 rats).
